Matrix Capital’s service is based on a ‘financial empowerment programme’, consisting of six stages designed to help clients take a holistic approach to professional financial planning by answering the five big questions that people ask themselves when thinking of appointing a professional financial planner.
These are: How can I help and support those closest to me? How can I live a better life now, while still providing for the future? How can I prepare for the unexpected? How can I look after those who cannot care for themselves? How can I leave a legacy?
Matrix is fully committed to their corporate social responsibility (CSR) programme, the theme of which is ‘vulnerability and combating financial abuse’. This programme has led to Matrix raising funding to create a video animation, which was gifted to Citizens Advice to support its work in raising awareness of financial abuse and scams.
Robin Melley, co-director of Matrix, has been awarded a distinction in the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (Step) advanced certificate in advising vulnerable clients. The certificate covers how to advise the most vulnerable members of society, clients who have lost mental capacity and those at risk of financial abuse.
In recognition of its CSR work, Matrix received the Special Award for Outstanding Consumer Engagement at the 2019 Personal Finance Society awards and in 2020 won the Step Private Client Financial Advisor Team of the Year award.
