Bridgend-based Magenta Financial Planning has just turned five years old. The team is well known for their bold bright brand and passion for delivering financial advice for women and in turn, developing female talent in the profession.
The team has expanded in the last year, employing a local college graduate and also hosting an internship via Swansea University, who has now become permanent employee of the team. They’ve also been joined by planner Jamie Flook – meaning the team itself has diversified from its previous all-female line up.
Managing director Gretchen Betts launched her podcast Financial Changemakers this year and is in the process of planning a second series. This covers a wide range of topics around diversity and inclusion in financial services, both for employers and for advisers to consider when delivering advice.
In lockdown Betts also trained as a Certified Financial Coach, enabling her to have deeper and more meaningful conversations with clients.
