Progeny is the first and only firm in the UK to bring together independent financial planning, asset management, tax, HR, and private and corporate legal services. With headquarters in Leeds and a further six offices across the UK, its aim is to be the most trusted professional advisory firm in the UK and beyond. Its unique structure allows it to deliver solutions that meet the complex needs of investors, businesses, family offices and charities.

Despite the pandemic, Progeny has continued to grow, attracting £140m of new business in 2020 and taking on 52 new team members. It has been pressing ahead with its acquisition plans, acquiring Scottish law firm Eastons in May 2020 and Leeds-based legal firm Watsons Law in February 2021.

February also saw the launch of its new Progeny Bravo ESG portfolio range, a managed investment service comprising 11 risk-rated solutions. The Bravo range enables clients to reflect their principles in their investment choices and reach their goals.

Progeny’s Adviser Academy, which helps junior team members gain the qualifications, skills and insight they need to become future leaders, has seen 11 advisers enrol since its 2019 launch. The firm hopes this will future-proof the business and help in the intergenerational transfer of wealth that will play out in the years ahead.

The business is committed to being a catalyst for change. It has pledged to become a climate positive workforce with an environmental net-zero strategy. Despite lockdown restrictions, Progeny raised nearly £13,000 in 2020 for its charities Martin House, Dreams Come True and Cancer Research UK.
